The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), an alliance of 19 of the world's leading cancer centers, is an authoritative source of information to help patients and health professionals make informed decisions about cancer care. Through the collective expertise of its member institutions, the NCCN develops, updates, and disseminates a complete library of clinical practice guidelines. These guidelines are the standard for clinical policy in oncology. NCCN is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation.

Its objectives are to advance scientific and medical knowledge in research, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer, and to promote all other aspects of the campaign against cancer throughout the world. Particular emphasis is placed on professional and public education.

The mission of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of medical assistance for all north-americans. The information derived from investigative projects made by AHRQ help the population make better decisions and improve the quality of related services. AHRQ was previously known as Agency for Healthcare Policy and Research.
